Challenged!!!

Hi!
So, I was challenged by my dear friend and design team colleague Petra. The task was creating art with one and the same collection, Vintage Garden district by Simple Stories. It is so much fun to see how different the art can be although we use the same stuff.
I used Tonic Studios Nuvo Vintage drops in white (Chalk stick) for the first time. I really like them!
Does anyone love cheesecloth as much as I do? 🙂

Så, jag blev utmanad av min fina vän och designteams kollega Petra. Uppgiften var att skapa något kreativt med smma kollektion, Vintage Garden district från Simple Stories. Det är verkligen kul att se hur många olika saker man kan göra med en och samma kollektion.
Jag använde Tonic Studios Nuvo Vintage Drops i vitt (Chalk Stick) för första gången. Jag gillar verkligen hur det blir med de dropparna.
Finns det någon som älskar ostduk så som jag gör? 🙂

So I just couldn’t help myself! I made a tag using the lovely Simple Stories collection Simple Vintage Garden District. Love the colors and patterns. And they go so well together with the acrylic colors by Dina Wakley.

Så jag kunde inte låta bli att också göra en tag med den underbara Simple Vintage Garden District-kollektionen från Simple Stories. Älskar färgerna och mönstren. Och så snyggt det matchar med akrylfärgerna från Dina Wakley.

Me and my dear friend and Design Team colleague have challenged eachouther to create art using the same collection; The Simple Vintage Garden District by Simple Stories. So I pulled out my Media Art journal from Dina Wakley and started! The first creation in this challenge is a page of my dear daughter – love her! I first used gesso on the entire page. I used some of Dina Wakleys Media Tissue paper with matte gel. Then I added some of Dinas acrylic paints blended with some water. Then I used baby wipes and two different stencils from Finnabair and Vicki Boutin to pick up some of the paint and make patterns. I added some stamping using the beautiful stamps from the Simple Vintage Garden District collection as well as some mixed media stamps from hÄnglar&Wings. Then I added some pattern paper and lots of decorations and stickers from Simple Stories. I really look forward to see what Jessica will create now that she has been challenged!

Jag och min fina vän och DT-kollega Jessica har utmanat varandra att skapa med samma kollektion; The Simple Vintage Garden District by Simple Stories. Så jag drog fram min Media Art journal från Dina Wakley och började skapa. Min första skapelse i utmaningen är en art journaling-sida med min underbara dotter. Först använde jag gesso på hela sidan. Sen applicerade jag tissuepapper från Dina Wakley med matt gel. Jag har använt Dina Wakleys akrylfäger som jag blandat med vatten och innan de torkat har jag plockat upp en del av färgen med hjälp av våtservetter och stenciler från Finnabair och Vicki Boutin. Jag har stämplat med stämplar från underbara Simple Vintage Garden District samt hÄnglar&Wings. Sen öste jag på med mönstrat papper, dekorationer och stickers från Simple Stories. Det ska bli så spännande att se vad Jessica kommer att skapa med samma serie nu när hon blivit utmanad!

My Valentine – cards with Simple Stories

Hello and happy monday!

I took a break from blogging but now I’m happy to be back to show you some cute valentine cards I made with the pretty set from Simple Stories called My Valentine. I just love the combination red and pink, and with splashes of aqua it is a sure winner. The decorations include lots of roses in different hues from salmon pink to deep red, banners, signs and of course conversation hearts. Must have for Valentine´s, right?

Jag har haft en paus från bloggen ett tag men nu är jag tillbaka för att visa er ett par söta Alla hjärtansdag-kort. De har jag gjort med Simple Stories fina kollektion “My Valentine”. Jag älskar kombinationen rött och rosa. Men detaljer i turkost så blir det hel vinnare helt klart. Dekorationerna innehåller massor av rosor i olika nyanser – från laxrosa till djupt röda, skyltar, kuvert och godishjärtan med text. Precis vad man behöver för Alla hjärtansdag, eller hur?

“Fall Farmhouse” from Simple Stories

Hi!
Another week almost to its end and it´s getting closer to christmas every day.
I scrapbook an album to myself every year. Each of my grandchildren gets one as well. I have two grandchildren, next year they will be three. This means I make a lot of pages every year. In both size 12×12 and 8,5×11. This time it´s fallpages made with Simple Stories “Fall Farmhouse”. A beautiful collection!

Ännu en vecka är snart slut och vi närmar oss julen snabbt. Jag gör ett scrapbookalbum till mig själv varje år. Båda mina barnbarn får album också. Nu har jag två barnbarn, nästa år är de tre. detta betyder att jag gör många layouter varje år. Jag gör layouter i olika storlekar, 12×12 till mig och 8,5×11 till barnbarnen. Denna gången är det höstsidor gjorda med Simple Stories kollektion “Fall Farmhouse”. En underbar kollektion!

Jag älskar verkligen höstfärgerna…..

I like to put some decorations or papers on 3D squares to get some dimension.

Jag gillar att montera dekorationer eller mönsterpapper på 3D-kuddar för att få lite dimension.

How about those Thicker Stickers? Beautiful.

December Daily Gratitude Journal

So, it is getting closer to december and christmas. I have made a December Daily several times before, but this year I figured that I wanted to do it a little bit different. I am doing a December Daily Gratitude Journal. I will take some time in the end of every day in december to sit down and reflect. I want to write about all the things that I am thankfull for, all the joys in my life. I think that this will be a great experience for me.

Nu börjar det närma sig december och jul. Som så många av er så har jag gjort ett “December Daily” album förut. Denna gången bestämde jag mig för att göra det lite annorlunda. Jag ska ta en liten stund i slutet av varje dag i december för att sitta ner och reflektera. Jag vill skriva lite om alla de saker som jag är tacksam för, alla glädjeämnen i mitt liv. Jag tror att detta kommer att bli en bra upplevelse för mig.

The album is from Frank Garcias Memory Hardware collection. I painted it black with Dylusions “Black Marble”.

As much as I love summer, I can´t deny that I love fall colors. This collection, “Autumn Splendor” is wonderful. So welcome fall colors, candlelights, sweather weather, pumpkins, soups and casseroles.

I distressed the edges of some of the patterned papers.

Jag skrapade kanterna på en del av de mönstrade papperna.

Love the color and shine of the sequins.

Magical Adventure from Echo park

Hi!
I just fell in love with this collection because my grandchildren just loves Mickey Mouse. This really reminds my of him. Happy colors, happy patterns and so easy to work with.

Jag föll verkligen för denna kollektionen för att mina barnbarn älskar Musse Pigg. Kollektionen påminner mig om honom. Glada färger, glada mönster och så enkel att arbeta med.

The patterned papers are so bubbly. There is not a big need for lots of decorations.

Det mönstrade pappret är så livligt. Det finns inget stort behov av många dekorationer.

Some of the decorations are mounted upon foam squares to get some dimension on the layouts.

Några av dekorationerna är monterade på 3D-kuddar för att få lite dimension i layouterna.
