It is good to sometimes remind yourself about all the things that makes you happy; my family, friends, cats, my home, scrapbooking, LOLs, joy and candy for example. When I made this page using one of the Mixed Media Backgrounds from Vicki Boutin I had a vision about writing all these happiness in the lovely circles and adding a photo and some decoration. I didn’t quite manage to get the exact look I wanted – still not comfortable by the looks of my handwriting – but it turned out OK. All pattern papers and decorations are from the Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope collection.

Det är bra att ibland påminna sig själv om allt i livet som gör en lycklig; min familj, vänner, mina katter, mitt hem. scrapbooking, galna skratt och godis tex. När jag skulle göra den här layouten med en av Vicki Boutins färdiga mixed media-bakgrunder så hade jag en vision om hur jag skulle skriva alla glädjeämnen i de vackra ringarna, lägga till ett foto och dekorationer. Men det blev inte exakt som jag hade tänkt mig, mycket för att jag inte är helt nöjd med min handstil. Det känns ändå okej. Alla mönstrade papper och dekorationer kommer från serien Color Kaleidoscope av Vicki Boutin.

Har ni sett Vicki Boutins nya kollektion “Wildflower & Honey”? Den är UNDERBAR!!! Vickis kollektioner är alltid lätta att arbeta med. Glada färger, kanonfina mönster och en massa roliga extra dekorationer. Jag hoppas att mina två sidor inspirerar er.

I used stamps and stencils from the collection to give the backgrounds som color.

Jag använde stämplar och stenciler från kollektionen för att ge bakgrunderna lite färg.

As always, some of the decorations is mounted upon foam squares to get some dimension.

Som vanligt har jag monterat några av dekorationerna på 3D-kuddar för att få lite dimension i layouterna.

I also gave the flowers som glitter from Tonic Studioas (a little bit hard to see in the photographs but very beautiful in real life).

Jag målade också blommorna med glitterpennor från Tonic Studios (det är lite svårt att se på fotografierna, men är vackert i verkligheten).

Hello! Its me Petra again! I have made a new page using the Color Kaleidoscope collection from Vicki Boutin. I was inspired by the die-cut Colorful when I made this page. I used some layering and hidden journaling and two different photos to show the close up as well as  the view of my favorite flowers of our garden. They are planted just behind the fence I made by my self one summer.

Hej! Det är Petra här igen med en ny layout med Color Kaleidoscope från Vicki Boutin. Jag blev inspirerad av den härliga die-cuten Colorful och har byggt layouten runt den som titel. Med lite färgstänk, blandade dekorationer och stickers och gömd journaling fick jag en färdig sida. Jag har använt två foto, en närbild och en vy från mina favoritblommor som jag planterat precis bakom staketet som jag byggt själv en sommar.

Hi everyone! Anna here with you today sharing a happy card made using the fabulous Kaleidoscope collection by Vicki Boutin. For my dotted background I’v used a stencil out of the collection as well as a few lovely Distress Oxides.

Everyday ordinary life .:. Layout .:. Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope

I love having neighbors that I enjoy spending time with. It makes life so easy and much more fun. Having some of the neighbors over for some wine and dinner is part of the everyday ordinary life … or perhaps not everyday but often. This summer we spent some nights in our shed in the garden under the grape vines and had some food, drinks and laughs. Or tea if it was earlier on the day. I do not need much more than this to be happy.  I made my layout using the Color Kaleidoscope collection by Vicki Boutin. So beautiful  and fun to create with.

Jag älskar att ha grannar som jag gillar att hänga med. Det gör livet så mycket lättare och så mycket trevligare. att grannarna kommer över och äter lite och dricker lite vin – eller te – är helt enkelt en del av vardagen. I somras spenderade vi några kvällar i vårt pinnade skjul i trädgården under vinrankorna och åt, drack och skrattade. Jag behöver inte mycket mer än detta för att vara lycklig. Jag har gjort min layout med Vici Boutins Color Kaleidoscope-kollektion. Den är så vacker och kul att skapa med.

Also I’ve made some lovely splatters using a few Nuvo Mica Mist’s by Tonic studios. Hope you’ll like it!

2 Tags .:. Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope

I like making Tags. They soon turn into a small piece of art and they are so useful. Instead of a card, I use them to pimp  a bottle of wine or on a gift wrap. I have used the Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope collection on these two tags with somewhat different styles. I like to try different styles. The first I gave to a dear friend who turned 50 and the second one I will save for an upcoming occasion.

Jag gillar att göra Tags. Det blir snabbt ett litet konstverk och de är så användbara, istället för kort, för att förgylla en flaska vin eller en gåva. Här har jag använt Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope på två Tags som är rätt olika i stil. Kul att variera sig! Den första fick en kär vän som fyllde 50 och den andra spar jag till något tillfälle längre fram.

Hi sweet friends! Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you’ll have a scrappy and nice day.
I’m back sharing a new layout with you. This time I’ve been playing with Pebbles – Jen Hadfield “Chasing Adventures with a few bit’s and pieces by Dear Lizzy “It’s All Good, Amy Tangerine “Stay Sweet” and Vicki Boutin “Kaleidoscope”. My background paper, a patterned one (YAY!!) is prepared with white gesso and some color mists.

Jag är tillbaka för att dela med mig av en ny layout. Den här gången föll valet på Pebbles – Jen Hadfield “Chasing Adventures” tillsammans med små godbitar ur Dear Lizzy “It’s All Good”, Amy Tangerine “Stay Sweet” och Vicki Boutin “Kaleidoscope”. Mitt bakgrundspapper, ett mönsterpapper (YAY!) är förberett med vit gesso och några olika color mist.

Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope .:. Capture Happy Moments

Oh My how yummy the Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope collection is. I just had to get it! I have used one of the backgrounds that I love but I have exchanged some of the beams to make it more vivid. I just cut out the beam and placed a slightly bigger piece of the replacement pattern paper behind. I mounted it using washi tape and clear glue.

I wanted to decorate some of the beams but keep the decorations the same color just slightly different so they were visible. Under the photo I used a sticker and some fussy cut birds.

The photo is from our summer vacation in Greece on the way back from the beautiful Island of Agkistri.  Of me and my sweet daughter just before she dropped one of her shoes in the water. We never saw that shoe again.

Åh så härlig Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope-kollektionen ör. Jag var bara tvungen att ha den! Jaghar använt en av de färdiga bakgrunderna men bytt några av strålarna mot andra mönstrade papper för att göra den mer levande. Jag bara skar bort den stråle jag ville byta ut och fäste en lite större bit av mönstrat papper under med lim och washi tape.

Jag ville dekorera strålarna med samma färg ton-i-ton. Under fotot finns en sticker och några figurklippta fåglar.

Fotot är från vår sommarsemester i Grekland, just när vi skulle lämna den vackra ön Agistri. Av mig och min fina dotter, just innan hon tappade sin ena sko i vattnet. Den såg vi aldrig mer.

Hi dear ones! Anna here today sharing a new layout with you. I’ve been playing around with the Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope collection. Also you’ll find some pieces by Amy Tangerine Stay Sweet. The big “hello” is a cut file that I made from the WeRMK Heidi Swapp Foil Quill USB Design Drive. My background is made using a Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope stencil, some modeling paste and on top of that (after drying) some color mist.
