Svartvita foton tycker jag är bra när jag vill experimentera med bakgrunder och färger lite. Då behöver jag inte ta hänsyn till att fotots färger ska matcha de papper jag väljer till exempel. Här ville jag försöka få lite djup i bakgrunden genom att tona blomman från Vicki Boutins stencilset i olika nyanser och olika starkt. De minsta blommorna har jag använt Nuvo embellshment mousse för dimension. Jag har också valt att låta många av dekorationerna vara i svartvitt. De är egentligen tänkt att man ska färglägga dem, men går bra att också använda så här för en mer “grafisk” effekt.

Black and white photos are extra useful when you want to experiment with backgrounds and colors. They won’t compete with the colors you choose on papers and embellishments for example. On this layout I wanted to try and get som dimension in the background by layering the flower from the stencil set in different shades and strenghts. The once further back are the softest. The smalles flowers on the top has extra dimension from Nuvo embellishment mousse. I also chose to keep the stickers that originally are ment to be colored, uncolored. The black and white gives it a cool, graphic look.

Trots att fotot är svart vitt så är det faktiskt solglasögonen på bilden som styrt färgvalet. De är i verkligheten cerise rosa, så jag målade dem så även på fotot med Distress markers.

Although the photo is black and white it is actually the glasses in the picture that steered my color choice. They are hot pink in real life. I colored them in on the photo with Distress markers. I really like the effekt, it’s like pop art.
